CHECKPOINT # 3 home 25.-26. august 2018

The third Checkpoint event took place during the Loviisa Wanhat Talot in August 2018 and its theme was Home. Home is both the safe place we all need for living in and also the feeling of belonging in the society we live in without being forced to limit or hide your identity.
Checkpoint #3 went directly for the source for its exploration of the theme home, and turned a home into an exhibition – in one of the homes that are open for the public during the historical houses -event. The garden and every room in the house was filled with visual art and different performances. The home in question was the Välimeren Majatalo at Haravankyläntie 9. House was open until 5 pm, after which there was music, artist discussion, and a pop up cafe.
